Kyra R. Watts founded My Sister Circle in 2012 after finding herself wanting to amplify the impact of positive relationships amongst women. Kyra is very passionate about the social responsibility women have to one another. Kyra aspires to always serve as a role model to younger women and actively seeks advice from experienced women that influence her in various facets of life.   “As a child I had many women in my family to look up to as role models. As I grew up, I surrounded myself with friends that motivated and inspired me, and as an adult I try and serve as a positive influence to those younger than me as I continue to seek advice from my own mentors.”   Though a trying journey, Kyra has learned to appreciate the relationships she has formed with the women in her life. She believes that there is nothing more sacred than the relationships between women and credits her personal relationships to many of her own successes.   “I never could understand why so many women perpetuate the mentality that they cannot be friends with other women. I love my best friends like sisters, they are so supportive and positive, and they inspire me to be better. I don’t know where I would be without them.”   Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Kyra is a proud product of the Detroit Public School System; graduating from Bates Academy and ML King High school. Kyra furthered her education and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and a Masters in Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
